One of our favorite parts of wedding photography is the Engagement Session. It’s a chance to shoot the couple in a variety of environments without worrying about the clock ticking down on us.
Katie and Matthew purchased a 100 year old mansion in Leavenworth, Kansas and are fixing it up to celebrate their wedding ceremony at the newly renovated home next summer. So, they wanted the engagement shoot to take place not only at their gorgeous home but also in their neighborhood.
After shooting around the house we journeyed out around the Leavenworth area. The Missouri river flows nearby with the Centennial Bridge, built in 1955, that connects Kansas and Platte County, Missouri. This was a special place for them and one of their favorite get-away spots. We also stopped in old downtown Leavenworth and just down the street from their home was a small park with an amazing water fountain from the 1900’s.
Thank you guys for a wonderful day and we look forward to seeing your house this summer.
