Does Your Neighbor Own A Rolls Royce?

Alyssa and Tyler are two of the sweetest people ever! What a blast we had on the engagement session and the wedding.

For the engagement shoot, the four of us went to one of our favorite spots, the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City and then to Loose Park/Rose Garden. Tyler had proposed to Alyssa with a bouquet of balloons so it was really special and a fab idea to bring a rainbow of colored balloons for the engagement shoot. It not only provided for fun photos but also a great personal touch.

At their wedding, the engagement book we put together was there for all of the guests to sign and leave a special note for the new bride and groom. In addition to the book, Tyler and Alyssa had a slide show of all of their favorite pictures from the engagement shoot playing all night for the guests to enjoy.

The wedding day…..August 29, 2015

We knew the day was going to be great, not only because the weather was fantastic but because it was Tyler and Alyssa we were going to get to spend the day with. We started at the Pilgrim Chapel , one of the quaintest churches in Kansas City.

Alyssa looked beautiful in her strapless white form fitting wedding gown with hair up and braided and instead of a veil she wore white orchid  flowers in her hair. Rosemary Clide of Final Touch Floral did an amazing job on the flowers, as always. A guitarist played as guests were seated and Alyssa walked down the aisle with both mom and dad in arm.

After the ceremony, all the guests released balloons into the air as the new bride and groom walked out of the church and into a white vintage Rolls Royce.  Fortunately for Alyssa and Tyler their neighbor just happened to be restoring a classic Rolls Royce and needed an incentive to finish it up.  With champagne and classic drivers uniform he made it!  We decided on the Nelson Art Museum  for location shots which proved to be a stunning background for these two and their classic car! Jeff and I love it when couples add some kind of personalized car to play off of on wedding day, it adds so much to the photos and shows off the personality of the couple!

After roaming the grounds at the museum we were off to the reception. The Venue at Willow Creek, a brand new venue near Wyandotte County Park offers lots of room both indoors and out. Fun patio with bar where guests could order the bride and grooms signature drink, a fire pit, cool outdoor furniture and fun outdoor games for guests of all ages.

Cup cakes of different flavors were offered as well as our favorite dinner Jackstack BBQ. The reception was filled with family and friends.  Tyler and Alyssa opted not to got the traditional route and have a wedding party but instead celebrate their day with just friends and family.

The August moon shone brightly as everyone at the reception had a great time dancing into the night. The wedding day could not have been more perfect, and it was a joy to be a part of it. Thanks Tyler and Alyssa, you guys are the best.
